The CXV425 is a 4 channel power amplifier for 100 Volt line speaker systems in large commercial and industrial applications.
Each channel delivers 250 watts into 40 ohms and is provided with an electronically-balanced line input, a rear-panel preset gain control and input routing switch allowing both channels to be driven with the same signal without external parallel wiring.
The amp is forced-air cooled by an internal thermostatically-controlled fan.
The transformerless output stage of the Cloud CXV-425 results in a considerable cost saving and reduced weight over conventional 100 Volt line slave amplifiers. This also improves the audio performance, producing an extended frequency response and lower distortion figures than earlier models.
A variable-frequency high-pass filter is also included to minimise the possibility of loudspeaker transformer saturation.
Front panel LEDs indicate signal presence, peak level and protection status.
